Plantation Hale Suites Kapa'a, Kapa'a

My stay at this hotel was a mixed experience. The rooms were generally pretty clean, but they could have used a good scrub down in certain areas like door jambs and baseboards. The furniture looked old but the layout with 2 double beds, bathroom, kitchen, living room, dining area, and a small balcony was quite comfortable. However, knowing that the property is up for sale at such a high price left me a bit puzzled.

My stay at the hotel was overall pleasant. The rooms, although needing a thorough cleaning and modernization, offered a peaceful view of the courtyard and pool. The staff provided good service, including showing us better rooms and helping with local taxi services. The location was convenient for exploring different places on Kauai, near shopping areas and restaurants. However, the dining options were limited to fried rice. The facilities were decent, but there was a need for a bit of improvement.

The hotel offers excellent self-catering facilities but was ready late upon my arrival. Despite being clean, I found a couple of flaws in the room. The service provided was helpful and effective, although I couldn't access the accoutrements/storage room when I visited them at 7 am. The location is superb, just a short walk from the beach and convenient for exploring the whole island.
